Deauty: January 2014

Telkens het einde van de maand in zicht is, wordt ik blij omdat ik m'n Deauty box ontvang. Ookal zijn de producten soms wat minder, toch is het telkens spannend om te ontdekken wat je elke maand krijgt!

Every time the end of the month is near, I get excited because I am going to receive my Deauty box. Although sometimes the products aren't for me or I don't like them, it is exciting to find out which products you get every month!

Deze maand had de box weer een thema... Deauty makes sense! Hij is bedoeld om je zintuigen te prikkelen.

This month the box had a theme... Deauty makes sense! It is meant to stimulate your senses.

1. Avril - Eyeshadow Duo in Jade Océan - Full Size: € 2,30

Het eerste product is dit oogschaduw duo van Avril. Avril is een leuk merk én is bovendien ook een biologisch product. Nu moet ik wel toegeven dat dit niet echt m'n kleuren zijn. Maar de pigmentatie is wel super en het bloemenpatroon is wel schattig!

The first product is this eyeshadow duo from Avril. Avril is a really nice brand and it is a organic brand. I have to admit that these are not my colors. But the pigmentation is really nice and the floral pattern is cute!

2. JM - Nailpolish in 34 When in Rome... - Full Size: € 10,59

Ik ben echt verslaafd aan alles wat met nagels te maken heeft. Dus telkens er een nagellak in de Deauty box zit ben ik enorm blij! Het is de eerste keer dat ik er één van dit merk probeer. De borstel is wel wat aan de dunne kant, wat het wat 'moeilijker' maakt om de nagellak aan te brengen. Ik moeset ook drie laagjes aanbrengen voor ik dit mooie resultaat kreeg. Maar het is e cht een heel mooie rode kleur met een wat fuchsia ondertoon! En rood is een kleur dat je het hele jaar door kan dragen!

I am really obsessed with anything nail related. So whenever I find a nail polish in the Deauty box I get super excited! It is the first time I try out this brand. I find the brush really thin, which makes it a little bit 'harder' to apply it on the nails. I also had to apply three layers before I had this nice result. But it is an amazing red color! And I believe red can be worn all year round!

3. Plante System - Lip Balm - Full Size: € 6,50

Als het op verzorging aankomt, is Plante System één van m'n favoriete merken geworden - Thanks to Deauty! Deze keer zat er een lippenbalsem in de box. Hij heeft de geur van kamille, waar ik normaal gesproken niet voor zou kiezen, maar toch heeft hij iets lekkers. Verder is het een goeie dikke stick wat het aanbrengen heel makkelijk maakt. Hij voelt ook heel dik en zacht aan. Weer een superproduct van dit merk!

When it comes to skincare, Plante Systeme has become one of my favorite brands - Thanks to Deauty! This time they put a lipbalm in the box. It has the scent of camomile, which I would normally not choose myself, but it really has a nice scent to it. The lipbalm comes in a good, thick stick which makes applying it very easy. It feels thick and creamy. Another amazing product from this brand!

4. Narciso Rodrigues - 'For her' Eau de Parfum - 4ml - (Full size: 50 ml- € 78,61)

Iets waar ik het 'minst blij' om ben is deze sample parfum. Ik ben er gewoon niet zo wild van en heb er zo al eens eentje ontvangen. Toch heeft deze parfum een lekkere geur.

Something I'm 'less excited' about is this sample parfum. I'm just not that much of a fan of these samples, and I already had received one of these. Although the perfume has a nice scent.

5. Rock Beauty London - Eyerock Liner Classic - Full Size: € 5,99

We kregen al een kleine hint dat er een product in zou zitten wat afkomstig is uit Londen, maar (nog) niet verkrijgbaar in België. En dit is het dan de Rock Beauty London Eye liner designer. Ik ben niet zo voor dit soort producten, maar wel leuk dat er vier verschillende designs in één pakketje zitten!

We already got a little clue that there will be a product in the box that come from London, but is not available (yet) in Belgium. And here it is, the Rock Beauty London Eye liner designer. I'm not thrilled about these kind of products, but it is pretty awesome that you get four different designs in one package!

2013 Favorites: Eyeshadow

Hey allemaal! Hopelijk hebben jullie een leuk weekend. Op deze zaterdagavond ga ik verder met al m'n 2013 faves! Vandaag zijn oogschaduws aan de beurt!

Hey guys! I hope you all are having a nice weekend. On this Saturday evening I will continue my 2013 favorites! Today I'll be showing you my favorite eyeshadows!

1. Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette

Je zal meteen merken dat ik altijd voor neutrale kleuren kies. Dit palette heeft zes nude kleurtjes, een paar zandkleuren en wat bruine tinten. De pigmentatie is best ok als je een subtiele everyday look wil. De tweede en derde kleuren zijn vooral m'n favoriet!

You will notice immediately that I always go for neutral colors. This palette has six nude colors,  some sand colors and a couple of browns. The pigmentation of this palette is allright if you want to create a subtle everyday look! The second and third color are mostly my favorite!

2. NYC Quattro Eye Shadow in 817 South Street Seaport

Dit is m'n laatste favoriet! De pigmentatie is echt goed en de kleuren hebben een meer rozige toets, maar ze zijn toch nog neutraal. De tweede kleur is m'n favoriet!

This is my latest favorite! Pigmentation is really good and the colors have more of a pink touch to them, but still neutral. The second color is my favorite!

3. Catrice Soft Duo Eyeshadow in  C02 Beauty Bouquet

Dit duo komt uit een limited editie (Eve in bloom) van Catrice en kan je dus niet meer kopen. Maar met z'n roosgouden en aubergine kleur geeft het een erg mooie smokey eye!

This duo is from a limited edition (Eve in bloom) from Catrice, so you can't buy it no more. But with its rose golden and aubergine color it gives a really nice smokey eye!

Essence "Metal Glam" Eyeshadow

Ik ga eerlijk zijn. Ik koop niet al te vaak mono eyeshadows, gewoon omdat ik liever palletes of quatros koop omdat deze je meer kleuren bieden. Maar toen ik deze Metal Glam Eyeshadows zag, wou ik er toch eentje proberen. Ik koos voor de kleur Glamour Girls, een zilveren kleur. Andere kleuren die beschikbaar zijn: Steel-ing the scene (een bronskleurtje), Petal to the metal (een lila kleur) & Golden eye (een gouden kleur)

I'm gonna be honest. I don't buy mono eyeshadows that often, I just prefer palettes or quatros because they offer you more colours. But when I saw these metal glam eyeshadows I just wanted to give them a go. I choose the colour Glamour Girls, a silver colour. Other colours that are available: Steel-ing the scene (a bronzy colour), Petal to the metal (a lilac colour) & Golden eye (A gold colour).

De kleur ziet er echt prachtig uit in de verpakking, en ik vind de verpakking zelf ook wel leuk. Maar toch ben ik wat teleurgesteld met deze oogschaduw. Als je hem swatched, geeft hij niet echt de prachtige kleur van in de verpakking af. Hij heeft meer een goudachtige kleur vind ik. Bovendien is de pigmentatie ook niet super. Om de swatch te doen die je hier op de foto ziet, moest ik echt veel van de oogschaduw aanbrengen zodat de kleur ervan toch goed zichtbaar was.

Although the colour looks amazing in the packaging and I also like the packaging, I'm a little bit disappointed with this eyeshadow. It doesn't apply as the silver colour you see in the packaging. It has more of a golden touch to it. And the pigmentation isn't all that great. To do the swatch I had to apply a lot of the eyeshadow so the colour would be good visible on the picture.

Yves Rocher 'Retropical' Eye Pencil

 

Yves Rocher launched a new summer limited edition called Retropical. The line is mostly focused on blue, green and pink tones. These limited edition products will give you a summer look that's ready for paradise! I ordered a couple of the products and this eye pencil is the first I will share with you guys.

 

Yves Rocher bracht een nieuwe zomer limited editie uit, Retropical genaamd. De lijn is vooral gebaseerd op blauwe, groene en roze tinten. Deze limited producten geven je een paradijselijke zomerlook! Ik heb een paar productjes besteld, en dit oogpotlood 2 in 1 is het eerste wat ik met jullie zal delen.

 

 

The colour of this eye pencil is called Eucalyptus and it is a gorgeous dark mint green colour with little silver glitters. The eye pencils are also available in Orchidee rose which has more of a pink tone. The eye pencils can be used as an eyeshadow as well as an eye pencil. Pigmentation is amazing, they give such a rich colour and they have a nice creamy texture.

 

De kleur van dit oogpotlood is Eucalyptus, een prachtige donkere muntgroene kleur met kleine zilveren glitters. Dit oogpotlood bestaat ook in Orchidee rose wat een roze kleur heeft. De oogpotloden zijn een 2 in 1 product omdat ze zowel als oogschaduw als oogpotlood kunnen gebruikt worden. De pigmentatie is echt super, ze geven zo'n mooie, rijke kleur af en ze hebben een prettige romige structuur.

Sleek iDivine Oh So Special Eyeshadow Palette

I wanted to try out one of Sleek's eyeshadow palettes for the longest time! So I finally choose the Oh So Special palette!

Ik wou één van Sleek's eyeshadow palettes al zo lang uitproberen! Uiteindelijk koos ik voor het Oh So Special palette!

When I first opened the palette I was surprised that I didn't see the waffle design on the shades! That's something that I really liked about these palettes... However if the quality of the eyeshadows are amazing, that's what matters the most!

This palette contains 12 mineral based eye shadows, both matt ones and shimmer shades. And the pigmentation is amazing! Here are my favorite colors:

- Bow because it's a great shade to highlight in the inner corner of your eye, or on your browbone.
- Organza because it's such a beautiful rose gold color, I love it!
- Celebrate is just an amazing burgundy shimmer color, that would look amazing going out.
- The mail & boxed because I love my browns!

The color noir is a really nice intense black eyeshadow, which can be used as an eyeliner!

Overall I really like this palette and the pigmentation is what I love most about it! It's just amazing! You can get so many different eyelooks out of this palette, from everyday looks, to a nice eyecatching evening look!

Toen ik het palette voor het eerst open maakte, was ik verbaasd dat ik het wafel design niet zag (wat je op zo goed als elke foto online wel ziet). Maar uiteindelijk is het de kwaliteit van de oogschaduws het belangrijkste!

Elk palette heeft 12 oogschaduws die mineral based zijn. In dit palette heb je een mix van matte en shimmer oogschaduws. De pigmentatie is echt fantastisch! Dit zijn mijn favorieten:

- Bow omdat het de perfecte kleur is voor de binnenste hoek van je oog of onder je wenkbrauwen.
- Organza is zo'n prachtige rose gold kleur!
- Celebrate is een prachtige burgundy kleur, dat perfect is om uit te gaan
- The mail & boxed omdat ik van bruine oogschaduws hou!

De kleur noir is een erg intense zwarte kleur en is perfect om te gebruiken als eyeliner!

In het algemeen ben ik tevreden over dit palette, ik hou enorm van de pigmentatie ervan! Wat ik ook leuk vind is dat je verschillende looks kan creëeren met de kleurtjes die je krijgt, van een everyday look tot een eyecatching avondlook!

MAX | Everyday 18-color Eyeshadow Palette

 

Max is coming out with some really nice beauty products like this eyeshadow palette. Next to this everyday 18-color eyeshadow palette they came out with 2 other ones. However, I choose this one cause it has alot of browns & golden colors in!

 

Max komt de laatste tijd met hele leuke beauty producten zoals dit eyeshadow palette. Naast dit 'Everyday 18-color eyeshadow palette' zijn er nog 2 andere varianten beschikbaar. Ik koos dit palette omdat er veel bruin en gouden kleurtjes bijzitten!

 

 

Next to the brown and golden colors there are also some nice white, light pinks and darker ones, a really nice plum colour and darker colours such as greys and a black one.

 

Naast de bruine en gouden kleurtjes heeft dit palette ook een mooi wit kleurtje, roze kleurtjes, een prachtige plum kleur en donkere kleuren zoals grijze en een zwarte kleur.

 

 

The pigmentation of this palette is also really nice! Some colours aren't as good pigmentated as others, but most are amazing.

 

Het palette geeft ook een goede kleurpigmentatie af. Sommige kleurtjes wel iets minder, maar de meesten zijn prachtig!
