Favorites: June 2014!

Juni is weer heel snel voorbijgevlogen! Het verbaasd me telkens opnieuw hoe snel de tijd gaat... Maar het is het einde van de maand, dus dat wil zeggen dat het weer tijd is voor m'n maandelijkse favorieten!

March 2014 Favorites!

Ik kan het nooit geloven telkens een volgende maand begint. De tijd gaat zo snel! Anyways, maart was een leuke maand. Het mooie weer begint te komen, de eerste bbq's zijn gepasseerd, ik zag Fall Out Boy, etc.

I can never believe it when a new month starts. Time goes so quick! Anyways, march was a nice month. The nice weather started to come, we did the first barbecues of the year, I went to see Fall Out Boy, etc.

Catrice Absolute Bright Palette is een leuk palette als je wat lichtere kleuren wilt gebruiken. Ik vind vooral de derde (een lichtroze) en de vierde (een wat donkerder roze) het mooist!

Catrice Absolute Bright Palette is a nice palette if you would like to use some lighter colors. I especially like the third (a light pink) and the fourth (a darker pink) the prettiest!

Catrice Gradiation Blush is een blush uit de limited editie "Crème Fresh". Ik vind blushes met een ombré effect altijd leuk omdat je een goede mix krijgt tussen een lichtere en donkere kleur. Deze geeft een mooie natuurlijke look.

L'Oréal Color Riche L'Extraordinaire in 500 Molto Mauve is ook net zo'n kleurtje. 

Yves Rocher Lipstick in n° 12 is een subtiel peachy kleurtje dat je een warmere uitstraling geeft.

Laatst was ik in de Kruidvat omdat ik een nieuwe foundation nodig had. Logisch toch om even naar de andere producten te kijken, niet? Ik zag een kleurtje van de NYC intense lip colors dat ik al een tijdje wou, maar nooit vond. Yay! En ofcourse moest ik een kleurtje van de nieuwe L'Oréal Color Riche L’Extraordinaire meenemen!

A couple of days ago I was at Kruidvat in search for a new foundation. It makes sense to look at the other products, or not? I saw a color from the NYC intense lip colors that I had been wanting for a while, but never found. Yay! And ofcourse I had to try out a color of the new L'Oréal Color Riche L'Extradordinaire!

1. NYC Cityproof Twistable Intense Lip Color in 020 Riverside Rose (€ 3,99)

Ik had al twee andere kleurtjes van de intense lip colors. Maar die zijn een fel roze en een oranje. Daarom was dit prachtige 'your lip but better' kleurtje meer dan welkom! Ik word echt blij van chubby lip potloden. Ze zijn makkelijk aan te brengen en tegenwoordig heeft bij elk merk er wel een paar in z'n gamma. De lippotloden van NYC zijn bovendien ook zacht, glad en hebben een mooie pigmentatie! Love it!

I already had two other colors from the intense lip colors. But these are a bright pink and an orange. So this gorgeous 'you lip but better' color was more than welcome!  Chubby lip pencils like these really make me happy! They are easy to apply and nowadays almost every brand has a couple between their products. The lip pencils from NYC are soft, smooth and have a beautiful pigmentation! Love it!

2. L'Oréal Color Riche L'Extraordinaire in 500 Molto Mauve (€ 15,99)

In het verleden was ik ook al best tevreden over de lip producten dat L'oréal aanbied. Ik wist op voorhand al dat Molto Mauve de kleur was dat ik graag wilde proberen. Ik hou dan ook van kleuren zoals deze! Het leuke aan dit soort lip producten is dat ze je de kleur van een lipstick geven, de glans van een gloss en bovendien ook het goeie van een lipbalm geven. 

Ik vind deze Color Riche L'Extraordinaire een fijn product. Je kan het product makkelijk aanbrengen met de applicator, hij geeft een mooie kleur en glas (met een beetje glitters, die niet zo opvallen) en hij blijft lang goed zitten! Super!

I have been very satisfied in the past with the lip products that L'Oréal offers. I know before going to the shop, I wanted to try out the color Molto Mauve. Simply because I love colors like this! The cool thing about these kind of lip products is that they will give you the color of a lipstick, the shine of a lipgloss and everything good from a lip balm.

I love this Color Riche L'Extraordinaire. It is easy to apply with the applicator, give a nice color and shine (which has subtle glitter in) and  they stay on for a long time! Awesome!

Favorites: January 2014

De eerste maand van 2014 is zo snel voorbijgevlogen! Daarom is het opnieuw tijd om mijn favorieten met jullie te delen!

The first month of 2014 went by so quickly! And that also means that it is time for me to share my favorites with you!

Garnier Intensive 7 days Body Balm

Deze body balsem is een ultra-voedende en goed voor de droge huid. Hij voelt net hetzelfde als de body butters van de Body Shop én ruikt overheerlijk naar mango!

This body balm is an ultra-feeding one and is good for the dry skin type. It feels just like the body butters from the Body Shop and has a delicious mango scent!

Nivea Aqua Effect Cleansing Mousse

Dit product heb je misschien al voorbij zien komen (Review hier). Als je een gevoelige huid hebt, is dit echt de cleanser voor jou. Hij voelt zo zacht aan en hij reinigt ook goed!

Probably you have seen this product pass by already (Review here). If you have a sensitive skin, this really is the cleanser for you. He is really gentle for the skin and cleanses really well!

Fa Luxurious moments shower gel 

Normaal zie je douche gels nooit voorbij komen in m'n favorieten. Maar deze ruikt gewoon zo lekker dat hij erbij moest! 

Normally I don't put shower gels in my favorites. But this one has such a great scent that he had to be included!

L'Oréal Studio Matt & Messy Shine-free Sea Salt Spray

Een leuke en handige spray als je een messy look wilt! En je kan hem zowel op nat als droog haar gebruiken.

A nice and handy spray if you want a messy look!  And you can use him on damp and dry hair.

E.l.f. Luscious liquid lipstick in Strawberry

E.l.f. noemt dit wel een lipstick, maar naar mijn mening heeft hij meer weg van een lipgloss. Ik vind dit product gewoon super. Hij geeft je een subtiele kleur, een shiny gloss en bovendien geeft hij je géén plakkerig gevoel!

E.l.f.  calls this a lipstick, but in my opinion this is more of a lipgloss. I think this product is amazing. He gives a subtle color, a shiny gloss and above all he does not give you that sticky feeling!

MaxFactor Creme Puff Pressed Powder in 41 Medium Beige

Ik gebruik altijd één poeder en gebruik deze tot hij echt op is. Maar om de één of andere reden was ik mijn Rimmel Stay Matt poeder wat beu geworden (Weird niet?). En nu ben ik helemaal in love met dit poeder van MaxFactor!

I always tend to use one powder and use it till it is finished. But for some reason I got tired of my Rimmel Stay Matt powder (Weird not?). And now I'm totally in love with this powder from MaxFactor!

Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara

Toen deze mascara eerst uitkwam, had ik de nood niet om hem uit te proberen. Maar nu had ik een nieuwe mascara nodig. Na een paar keer te gebruiken begon ik hem beter en beter te vinden. Hij is ook heel handig omdat hij een groter borsteltje heeft, voor de bovenste wimpers en een kleiner borsteltje voor de onderste wimpers.

When this mascara came out at first, I didn't feel the need to try it out. But now I needed a new mascara. After using it a few times it grew on me and I started liking it more and more. He is also really handy because he has a bigger brush for your top lashes, and a smaller brush for the lower lashes.

Sex & The city 'Hello Lover...' parfum

Hier zijn geen woorden voor nodig. De parfums van Sex & the city hebben gewoon zo'n lekkere geur! En zien ze er ook niet schattig uit? 

No words needed. The perfumes from Sex & The City just have a delicious scent! And don't they look cute?

Drugstore Nailpolish Brands

Je hebt zoveel verschillende nagellakmerken... Het ene merk is al wat duurder dan het andere. Het  ene al wat beter dan het andere. Daarom wil ik nu graag mijn mening over de verschillende merken in Kruidvat geven.

You have got so many different nailpolish brands... One more expensive than the other. One a little bit better than the other one. That is why I would like to talk about all the different brands you can find in Kruidvat. 

1. Catrice

Kleuren: Goede mix van nudes en kleuren. Twee keer per jaar verdwijnen sommige kleuren maar komen er ook weer nieuwe bij, wat dus leuk is!

Verpakking: Niets speciaals.

Hoeveelheid: 10ml.

Borsteltje: Het borsteltje is ook veranderd (ongeveer een jaar geleden denk ik) en is wat dikker dan vroeger, maar wat makkelijker te gebruiken.

Applicatie: Makkelijk door het dikker borsteltje.

Droogtijd:  Gemiddeld.

Hoe lang blijft hij zitten: Zo'n drie tot vier dagen.

Prijs: € 2,59

Color Range: Good mix of nudes & colors. Twice a year some colors go, and some new ones come in, which is really awesome!

Packaging: Nothing too special really.

Amount of product: 10ml.

Brush: The brush also has changed (I think about a year ago) and is thicker than before, which is more easier to use.

Application: Very easy due to the thick brush.

Dry time: Average.

Lasting time: 3 to 4 days.

Price: € 2,59

2. Essence

Kleuren: Goede mix van nudes en kleuren. Net als Catrice veranderd het assortiment aan kleuren zo'n tweemaal per jaar.

Verpakking: De verpakking is (ik denk zo'n jaar geleden) veranderd en is wat groter dan vroeger. Het leuke aan deze nagellakken is dat je aan het stopsel de kleur kan zien (goed om op te bergen).

Hoeveelheid: 8ml (vroeger 5ml)

Borsteltje: Wat dikker dan vroeger en hij heeft een rondere vorm.

Applicatie: Makkelijk door het dikke, ronde borsteltje.

Droogtijd: Gemiddeld.

Hoe lang blijft hij zitten: Zo'n 3 dagen.

Prijs: € 1,69

Color range: Good mixture of nudes and colors. Just like Catrice the colors change a little bit about twice a year.

Packaging: About a year ago (I believe) the packaging changed and became a little bit bigger and different shaped. The cool thing about these nailpolishes is that you can see the colors good when your store them away.

Amount of product: 8ml (Before 5ml).

Brush: Became a little bit thicker and more rounder in shape.

Application: Easy because of the thick, round brush.

Dry time: Average.

Lasting time: About three days.

Price: € 1,69

3. NYC cosmetics

Kleuren: NYC cosmetics heeft twee verschillende nagellakken: in a New York minute quickdry nagellak en Expert last nagellak. Ik kies eigenlijk altijd voor die eerste. De kleurkeuze valt wel mee, maar ik vind dat er minder keuze is dan bv. bij een merk als Catrice.

Verpakking: Ik vind deze flesjes er wel leuk uitzien!

Hoeveelheid: 9,7ml

Borsteltje: Is redelijk dun.

Applicatie: Nog makkelijk ondanks het dunne borsteltje.

Droogtijd: Redelijk snel.

Hoe lang blijft hij zitten: Zo'n 3-4 dagen.

Prijs: € 2,49 - € 2,99

Color range: NYC cosmetics has two different nail polishes: in a New York minute quickdry nagellak and the Expert Last nailpolish. I always take this first ones. The color choices are alright, but I do think it has lesser choice than a brand like Catrice.

Packaging: I think the bottles look cute!

Amount of product: 9,7ml.

Brush: Thin.

Application: Easy, although it has a thin brush.

Dry time: Pretty quick.

Lasting time: About 3 to 4 days.

Price: € 2,49 - € 2,99

4. 2B cosmetics

 

Kleuren: Qua kleuren en verschillende soorten nagellak zit dit merk wel goed.

Verpakking: Erg klein, ik vind ze persoonlijk niet zo leuk.

Applicatie: Niet zo makkelijk.

Droogtijd: Gemiddeld.

Hoe lang blijft hij zitten: Zo'n 3-4 dagen.

Borsteltje: Niet te dun en niet te dik, perfect dus eigenlijk.

Misschien heb je het al gemerkt... M'n 2013 favoriete lip producten post heeft de meeste producten! Dat ik omdat ik van lipsticks hou en ik hou er ook van om nieuwe uit te proberen!

Maybe you already noticed... My 2013 favorite lip products post has the most products! That is because I love lipsticks and I love trying out new ones!

1. Lip pens

Verschillende merken kwamen uit met hun eigen versie van de Clinique Chubby Stick Lip Balms. Met de keuze uit zoveel leuke 'lip pens' heb ik er toch m'n twee favorieten uit kunnen halen!

A lot of brands came out with their own versions of the Clinique Chubby Stick Lip balms. With having to choose between all the amazing ones that came out, I managed to narrow it down to two favorites!

NYC Sweet splash gloss stick in Revived Berry geeft een leuke subtiele bessenkleur aan je lippen. Hij blijft niet zo enorm lang zitten, maar het is toch zo'n leuke kleur!

Bourjois Color Boost in orange Punch was één van m'n favoriete kleuren voor de zomer: Een leuke subtiele oranje kleur! *Love*

NYC Sweet Splash Gloss Stick in Revived Berry gives a nice & subtle berry color to your lips. He does not stay on for that long, but it is such a nice color!

2. Lipsticks / Lip Butters

Essence Lipstick in Barely there!

Deze drie hebben een leuk 'your lip color but better' kleurtje, en dat is dan ook de reden waarom ik elk van deze drie enorm veel heb gedragen!

These three have a nice 'your lip color but better' color, and that is why I have worn these colors a lot of times!

3. Matte lipsticks

Matte lipsticks vond je ook meer en meer terug. Het leuke aan matte lipsticks is dat je ze zo kan dragen, maar als je de matte kleur maar niets vind, kan je er een lipgloss over aanbrengen, zodat je lippen meer glossy worden!

Matte lipsticks became a big thing in 2013. The cool thing about matte lipsticks is that you can wear them like that, but if you don't like the matte color, you can apply a lipgloss over, so your lips become more shiny!

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 105  is een meer subtielere matte kleur, wat hem ook 'draagbaar' maakt voor dagelijkse looks!

Catrice Ultimate colour in 270 Matt-erial girl is een erg felle kleur, maar hij blijft zo lang goed zitten!

Catrice Ultimate colour in 207 Matt-erial  girl is a very bright color, but he stays on sooo long!

4. Lip stains

Lip stains zijn (naast lip pens) m'n favoriete lip producten. Na een tijdje voel je niet meer dat ze er zijn maar toch blijven ze een lange tijd mooi!

Lip stains are (next to the lip pens) my favorite lip products. After a while you don't feel they are their no more, but they still are and they stay on for a long time!

L'Oréal Caresse lip stain in 501 Bonnie is een leuke oranje kleur, wat ik veel in de zomer droeg!

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in 101 Celestial is m'n favoriet van deze lijn. Hij heeft zo'n schattige roze kleur! En de verpakking van deze lip lacquer = Love!!

Catrice Wet Shine Stain in C01 Innocent is weer zo'n schattige roze kleur! Hij komt uit een limited editie (Thrilling me softly) en is dus niet meer verkrijgbaar!

L'Oréal Caresse Lip Stain in 501 Bonnie is a fun orange color, which I wore a lot during summer!

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in 101 Celestial is my favorite color out of this line. He has such a cute pink color! And the packaging of these lip lacquers = pure love!

Catrice Wet Shine Stain in C01 Innocent is another cute pink color! It comes out of a limited edition line (Thrilling me softly) so this one is not available no more!

2013 Favorites: Mascara

Hey allemaal! Ik hoop dat jullie het leuk hadden met de feestdagen. 2014 is nog maar pas begonnen en dat betekend dat ik nog eens een laatste keer ga terugkijken naar 2013 en al m'n favorieten van dat jaar ga kiezen. Ik ga alle producten apart tonen, zo zijn het allemaal kleine posts in plaats van één veel te grote post!

Hey guys! Hope you all had a great time with the holidays. 2014 has just started, so that means it is time for me to take one last look back at 2013 and choose all my favorites that came out. I will show all different type of products seperately because I don't want it to be a crazy big post.

Wanneer ik op zoek ga naar een nieuwe mascara is lengte voor mij het belangrijkste. Ik heb van nature -al zeg ik het zelf- toch wel een goede lengte al, maar ik vind het enorm mooi om echt lange wimpers te hebben (zonder gebruik te maken van fake lashes). Volume komt bij mij op de tweede plaats, maar is niet zo belangrijk. De volgende 4 mascara's waren voor mij de beste van 2013!
When I'm looking for a new mascara, length is the most important aspect for me. I already have -If I say so myself- long lashes, but I really love it when they are really long (without using fake lashes). Volume comes second, and is not that important. The next four mascaras where the best of 2013 for me!

L'Oréal False Lash Wings Mascara (€ 16,99)

Deze mascara heeft een raar gevormd borsteltje en zou je het zogenaamde 'butterfly effect' moeten geven. De reden waarom deze mascara in m'n favorieten zit is omdat hij zo makkelijk te gebruiken is, hij geeft een mooie lengte aan je wimpers en tegelijkertijd geeft hij je een natural look. Super!

This mascara's brush may look a little bit different and it should give you the so-called 'butterfly effect'. The reason why this mascara is in my favorites is because he is so easy to apply, give a nice length and a natural look at the same time. Awesome!

Het ziet er naar uit dat het -volgens mij dan toch- een goed jaar was voor L'Oréal en z'n mascara's. Deze volgende mascara is m'n current fave. Het borsteltje is heel flexibel en ookal had ik iets anders verwacht, toch is het een heel leuke mascara. Hij geeft je een perfecte lengte, maar ook volume!

It looks like -according to me- it was a good year for L'Oréal and their mascaras. This next one is actually my current favorite. The brush is really flexible and allthough I expected a different effect, it still is an amazing mascara. It gives the perfect length, but volume as well!

Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara (€ 12,99)

Het borsteltje van deze mascara is wat groter dan de voorgaande mascara's. Maar opnieuw - Goede lengte, goed volume!

The brush of this mascara is much bigger than the ones I showed before. But again - Great length, great volume! 

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara (€ 14,49)

Ik weet nog toen ik deze mascara voor het eerst had dat ik dacht - wat een raar borsteltje. Maar toch was hij m'n favoriete voor een hele lange periode begin 2013. Hij is zo leuk om te gebruiken en van alle mascara's vind ik het 'design' ook het leukste. Hij geeft een goede lengte en amazing in seperating!

I remember first seeing this mascara I was like damn this looks a weird brush. But it has been my favorite mascara for a long time early 2013. It is so nice to use this one and from all mascara's I like this ones 'design' the most. Great length and great for seperating the lashes!

Ik loop een beetje veel achter op mijn schema deze maand. Ik had wat problemen met m'n laptop waardoor ik niets meer kon posten. Ik heb nog altijd wat problemen om video's te editen. Hierdoor zal ik geen video's maken tot dit is opgelost (voornamelijk video van Deauty bedoel ik dan). Hopelijk vinden jullie dit niet erg én hier zijn dan mijn late favorieten van de maand oktober ;)!

My schedule for this month started out a little bit late. I had some problems with my laptop, so I couldn't upload anything. I still have some problems with editing videos.
