Blogmas Day 15: My 2014 Christmas Nails!

Omdat ik een nogal achterstand heb met m'n Blogmas dit jaar - #BlogmasFail - vandaag twee artikels! Hier toon ik jullie mijn 2014 kerst nagels! Ik vind sneeuwvlokjes echt zo mooi staan als nailart, maar ze zijn wel wat tricky om te tekenen. Maar met een glitter topcoat erover valt het wat minder op als je sneeuwvlokje er niet zo recht uitziet ;). 

Because I am so much behind with my Blogmas this year - #BlogmasFail - I have another article for you today! In this one I am showing you my 2014 Christmas nails! I find snowflakes to be so pretty as nailart, but they can be a little bit tricky to draw on. But with a nice glittery topcoat, it's not that noticeable if your snowflake isn't drawn on as straight as it should be ;).

NOTD: Stripes & Glitters

De leukste NOTD's zijn diegene die er super uitzien maar ook makkelijk zelf te doen zijn. En ik denk dat deze daar wel toebehoord!

The coolest NOTD's are the ones that look awesome and are easy to do. And I think this one is just like that!

Je kan deze nailart met eender welke kleuren doen, maar ik vond het effect van zwart met een bronzige kleur en glitters (op foto ziet het er meer goud uit dan het eigenlijk is) wel leuk. Eerst breng je de zwarte kleur aan op je nagels. Vervolgens breng je wat strepen aan op je nagels en deze hoeven er echt niet netjes uitzien. Hierna doe je er nog wat glitters bij, die er ook niet al te netjes moeten uitzien, et voilà, je bent klaar! 

You can copy this nailart with any color you like, but I thought the effect of black and a more bronze color and glitters (it looks more golden on the pictures than it really is) would be cool. After applying the black nail polish all over your nail, you apply some stripes of the bronze colors. These stripes don't have to be neat. After this, you apply some glitters, which also don't have to look to neat, et voilà, you're done!

NYX: Glitter Cream Palette

For special occasions, you can never do wrong with glitters, but with moderation ofcourse. I picked this glitter cream palette by NYX up, because I though it would be cool to do some amazing glitterlooks with them for those occasions! The cool thing about this palette is that you can use it anywhere: on your eyes, cheeks, lips, ...

 

Je kan niets misdoen met glitters voor speciale gelegenheden, je moet natuurlijk niet over de top ermee gaan. Ik kocht dit glitter cream palette van NYX bij Urban Outfitters, omdat ik het wel leuk vond om een mooie glitterlook te creëren als er eens een speciale gelegenheid komt! Het coole aan dit paletje is dat je het overal voor kan gebruiken: op je ogen, wangen, lippen, ...

There were a few different variations of this palette available, but I decided to go with this one because it just had the best colours: a vibrant pink, a black, a white, a gold and a silver glitter. The pigmentation is just amazing of this palette, so it will be easy to use them for an amazing look! I'm thinking of using this more on the eyes because using this on your cheeks will just make you look like a clown and on the lips is maybe a little bit too much for me, i don't know.

 

Er waren een paar verschillende varianten van dit paletje beschikbaar, maar ik besloot om deze te kiezen omdat het gewoon de beste kleuren had: een roze, zwarte, witte, gouden en zilveren glitter. De pigmentatie is echt super, het is dus makkelijk om er een leuke look mee te maken! Ik denk dat ik deze glitters enkel bovenop mijn oogschaduw ga aanbrengen. Om dit nu op je wangen te gebruiken is gewoon erover vind ik en op je lippen is een beetje too much voor mij denk ik.

Lush Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb

 

Dragon's Egg is a bath bomb by Lush with a really fresh scent. It has this nice citrus scent of lemon and bergamot. Lemon oil has been used to make this bath bomb, which has an uplifting aroma and is a great toner and refreshment for your skin!

 

Dragon's Egg is een bath bomb van Lush met een leuke, frisse geur. Hij heeft een verfrissende geur van citroen en bergamot. Om deze bath bomb te maken word citroen olie gebruikt, dit is de perfecte toner en verfrissing voor je huid!

 

 

As most bath bombs by Lush have a great surprise inside of them, so had this one! The bath bomb itself appeared to be white, but once you throw it in your bath and orange-golden color appears. Aaand to top it off it has golden glitters!

 

Zoals de meeste bath bombs van Lush geeft ook deze een leuke verrassing. De bath bomb ziet er wit uit, maar eens je hem in je bad gooit komt er een oranje-gouden kleur te voor schijn! Eeeeen er komen ook kleine gouden glitters uit!
