Deauty July 2014!

Het bewijs dat juli te snel voorbij is gevlogen: ik had me totaal nog niet verwacht aan een nieuwe Deauty box. Maar vandaag kreeg ik hem toch via de post! Terwijl we voorbije maanden een beetje 'spoiled' waren aan het aantal producten en samples, zitten er deze maand slechts vier producten in de box. Maar dit wil niet zeggen dat de box van deze maand geen goeie is, drie van de vier producten zijn dan ook full size!

The ultimate proof that July went by to quickly: I didn't expect to receive my Deauty box yet, but this morning I got it in the mail! Last months we had been a little bit spoiled with the amount of products and samples we got, but this month the box has only four products in it. Nevertheless it still is a good one, three out of four products are also full size!

❤ Cattier Paris - Body Lotion - 200ml (€ 9,99)

Een bio body lotion, klinkt goed of niet? Deze zou de huid helpen te versterken en gaat huidsouderdom tegen. Verder zou hij de huid ook meer elasticiteit geven. Hij werd gemaakt met aloe vera (wat rustgevend werkt) en teunisbloem (zorgt voor een zachte en soepele huid). 

Ik heb hem al een eerste keer geprobeerd en de lotion voelt wat dikker aan dan andere en heeft wat tijd nodig om in de huid te trekken. 

A natural body lotion, sound good right? This one should strengthen the skin and prevents the skin from aging. It should also give more elasticity to the skin. It's made from aloe vera (works calming to the skin) and primrose (makes the skin soft and smooth).

I have tried it out one time and the lotion feels a little bit thicker than most others and it takes some more time to get into the skin.

❤ Fructis - Damage Repair Serum - 50ml (€ 7,99)

Hier ben ik heel blij mee! Ik gebruik en  hou al van  de shampoo en conditioner (lees m'n review hier) en wou deze al even aanschaffen. Dankzij Deauty kan ik hem nu eindelijk testen!

I am really happy with this one! I have been using and loving the shampoo and conditioner (read my review here) so I wanted to buy this one myself. But thanks to Deauty I can finally test it out!

❤ Hansaplast Foot Expert - Peeling 2-in-1 - 75ml (€ 5,69)

Ik enorm trouw aan m'n voetencrème van TBS. Maar dit wil niet zeggen dat ik een ander product niet eens ga proberen! Deze speciale crème zou de ruwe huid verwijderen met puimsteen scrubdeeltjes en zoutkorrels. Bovendien zorgt het ureum & de amandelolie ervoor dat de huid verzorgt worden en verzachten.

I am really loyal to my foot cream by TBS. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't try out another one. This special cream should remove hard skin with the pumice scrub and natural salt. The ureum and almond oil should make the feet soft.

❤ Payot - My Payot Jour - 15ml (Full Size: 50ml - € 32,50)

En dan nog een sampletje! Dit is een hydraterende dagcrème en laat ik je zeggen, hij ruikt heerlijk naar mango, meloen & muskus! Lijkt me een leuke crème om je dag mee te beginnen!

And lastly a sample! This is a moisturizing day cream and let me tell you, it smells amazing! It has the scent of mango, melon & musk! Seems like a nice cream to start of the day!

Small TBS Haul!

Juli betekend solden! Dan ga ik graag langs m'n favoriete winkels en neem ik een paar dingen mee dat ik normaal misschien niet zou kopen. Als ik nu terug kijk naar de prijzen, is er eigenlijk maar één product dat ik met korting kocht, maar de andere twee zijn mini versies!

July means sales here in Belgium! I love going to my favorite shops and take a few things I normally wouldn't buy. Looking back at the prices now, I noticed that I only bought one product with a discount on it, however the other two are minis!

❤ Body Butter with Grapefruit (€ 4,00)

De body butters van TBS ken je waarschijnlijk wel. Ik gebruik ze ook heel graag en dan vooral de kokosnoot variant. Ik kocht deze mini van grapefruit omdat het wel eens leuk leek deze geur uit te proberen. Het heeft echt die typische grapefruit geur,  maar eerlijk gezegd vind ik de geur niet zo super! Deze bevat 50ml van de body butter, de full size bevat 200 ml (€ 16,00).

I think you probably know the body butter from TBS. I love using them myself and especially the coconut flavour. I bought this mini version with grapefruit because it seemed nice to try this flavour out. It has that typical grapefruit scent, but to be honest I'm not really a fan. This one contains 50ml body butter, full size has 200ml (€ 16,00).

❤ Vineyard Peach Shower Gel (Was € 7,00 - Now € 3,50)

Ik ben al zo vaak in de Body Shop geweest, maar nooit kocht ik er een douchegel. Hij is dan ook wat aan de prijzige kant vind ik - € 7,00 voor 250ml. Maar nu tijdens de solden was deze slechts € 3,50. En perzik is één van m'n lievelingsgeuren! 

I have been in the Body Shop so many times before, and never have I bought a shower gel. I think they are a little pricey - € 7,00 for 250ml. But now in sales it was only € 3,50. And peach is one of my favorite scents!

❤ Indian Night Jasmine Purse Spray (€ 7,00)

Dit is één van de nieuwere producten dat de Body Shop nu heeft: een mini parfum! Handig voor in je handtas, of zoals in mijn geval een geur te proberen. En deze parfum ruikt echt heerlijk. Hij heeft noten van sandelhout, viooltjesblaadjes, sinaasappelbloesem en jasmijn. 

This is one of the newer products you can find now at the Body Shop: a mini perfume! Really handy to keep in your purse, or in my case to try out a scent. And this one smells amazing. It has notes from sandalwood, violet petals, orange blossoms and jasmine.

NOTD: Washed Out Jeans

Het is weer een tijdje geleden sinds ik een laatste nailart deed. Dit soort nailarts zie je nu wel vaker verschijnen. Ik vond deze blauwe kleur van Essence er perfect voor, dus deed ik hem zelf eens! 

It has been a while again since I posted my last nailart. Lately you see these kind of nailarts appear a lot. I found this blue color by Essence perfect, so I tried it out myself!

❤ How to

Je kan hem makkelijk zelf doen. Je kiest de kleuren waarmee je wil werken en je gebruik gewoon het nagellakborsteltje. Met zo weinig nagellak aan het borsteltje breng je wat nagellak aan op je nagels zodat je dit washed out effect krijgt. Ik koos er ook voor om op het einde nog wat glitters aan te brengen voor wat extra bling.

You can easily do this yourself. You choose the colors you want to work with and you just use the brush from the nailpolish. With just a little bit of nailpolish on the brush, you apply this on your nails so you will get the washed out effect. I also choose to add some glitters at end to give it a little bit more bling.

Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick!

Gosh, het is een merk waar ik vroeger niet veel naar keek, maar de laatste tijd blijf ik steeds vaker bij het Gosh assortiment stil staan. Vandaag schrijf ik een korte review over één van de nieuwe kleurtjes van de velvet touch lipstick, deze behoren tot de nieuwe herfst/winter collectie!

Gosh, it is brand that before I didn't look at too much, but lately I have been looking more and more to its products. Today I'm writing a short review on one of the newest colors from the velvet touch lipsticks!

Ik koos de kleur #159 Boheme, maar er zijn nog zo'n zeven andere kleuren waaruit je kan kiezen. Ik koos voor deze kleur omdat ik een zwak heb voor prachtige burgundy kleuren zoals deze. Hij is opvallend en wat 'zwaarder' van kleur, maar denk aan die koudere herfstdagen, en deze kleur past er perfect bij!

I choose the color #159 Boheme, but there are seven other colors you could choose from. I choose this color because my heart goes soft for beautiful burgundy colors like this one. It is a bright and somewhat 'heavier' color, but think of those colder days in the fall and I think this color looks perfect then!

De lipstick geeft niet alleen een prachtige kleur af maar ook een mooie glans. Verder zijn ze ook zacht en voelen ze fijn aan bij het aanbrengen. Zeker een aanrader als je nog een nieuwe lipstick nodig hebt!

This lipstick not only gives a pretty color, but also a nice shine to your lips. It also feel soft and nice when applying it. Definitely check this brand out if you are in need of a new lipstick!

Kruidvat SoLait High Sunmilk!

Ik ben van plan deze zomer een aantal verschillende zonneproducten te gebruiken en deze uitgebreid te reviewen voor jullie. En voilà, dit is de eerste! De SoLait Sun Protection High Sunmilk van de Kruidvat.

This summer I am planning to try out different sun protection products and review them for you guys. So here is the first one! The SoLait Sun Protection High Sunmilk from Kruidvat.

❤ Wat zegt Kruidvat? - What does Kruidvat say?

Dit product zou een hoge bescherming geven voor de zeer lichte huid.
This product would give high protection against the sun for the very light skin.

❤ De verpakking - The packaging 

De verpakking heeft niets speciaals. Het is een vrij standaard flesje in een opvallende gele kleur.
Packaging-wise I don't see anything special. The sunmilk comes in a rather standard bottle, but in a bright yellow color.

❤ Kenmerken - Features

☀ SPF 30 - SPF staat voor Sun Protection Factor. Hiermee word eigenlijk de maat aangetoont hoe doeltreffend de zonneproducten zijn in het tegen houden van UVB-stralen. SPF word onderverdeeld in vier categoriëen: Basic, medium, high en very high. Deze van het Kruidvat valt onder de high categorie.
☀ UVA & UVB Onmiddellijke bescherming - UVB-stralen zorgen ervoor dat je een mooi bruin kleurtje kan krijgen, maar kunnen er ook voor zorgen dat je huid verbrand. UVA-stralen daarentegen veroorzaken geen zonnebrand, maar beschadigen je huid veel dieper.
☀ Waterafstotend - Ik heb wat research gedaan, en eigenlijk zijn zonneproducten nooit echt "waterdicht". Wanneer je een zonneproduct koopt waar 'waterresistant/bestand tegen water' op staat, wil dit eigenlijk zeggen dat je je opnieuw moet insmeren 40 minuten nadat je in het water bent geweest.

☀ Bevat vitamine E - Heeft een oppeppende functie voor de huid.
☀ SPF 30 - SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. This measures how effective sunproducts are against UVB-rays. SPF comes in four categories: Basic, medium, high and very high. This product falls under the high category.
☀ UVA & UVB Immediate protection - UVB-rays ensure you will get a nice tan, but can also ensure sunburn.
UVA-rays on the other hand don't ensure sunburn, but can damage the skin deeper.
☀ Waterresistant - I did some research, and sun product are never a 100% "waterproof". When a sun product claims it is waterresistant, that actually means that you have to reapply 40 minutes after you have been in the water.
☀ Dermatologically proved
☀ Contains vitamine E - This has an energising function for the skin. 

❤ Pro

- Hij dringt goed in de huid.
- Van prijs zit hij goed (€ 8,89)
- Hij heeft een goede SPF factor en behoord tot de 'high'-categorie
- Sinks good into the skin
- Good price (€ 8,89)
- Has a good SPF which makes him belong into the 'high'-category.

❤ Cons

- Hij voelt wat vettig aan
- Hij heeft die typische zonnecrème geur. Dit kan voor jou positief zijn, maar ik vind hem niet zo lekker.
- He feels a little bit greasy
- Has the typical sunscreen scent. Which can be good for you, but I'm not really into that scent.

❤ Conclusie

Ben je op zoek naar een zonnecrème die goed zit van prijs en echt een gewone, goede zonnebeschermer is, dan zit je met deze zeker goed. Ik persoonlijk ben niet zo voor deze geur + het iet of wat vettig aanvoelen. Daarom denk ik niet dat ik deze nog ga kopen.
If your are looking for a sunscreen that has a good price and is just a regular, good sunprotector, than this one is really a good one. I am not that into the scent of it and the fact that it feels a little bit greasy, so I don't think I will buy this one again.
