Life in Pictures: May 2013

May has really past by too quick! But I had some really nice times: it was my birthday, I went to see KRS-One, etc. Hopefully June will bring a little more nicer weather!

 

Mei is echt voorbijgevlogen! Maar ik had een paar leuke dagen: het was m'n verjaardag, ik ben naar KRS-One's optreden geweest, etc. Hopelijk brengt juni wel wat beter weer!

L'Oréal False Lash Wings Mascara

 

For a while now my favourite mascara has been Maybelline The Rocket and find it hard to find a mascara that a like as much (or maybe even more) than this one. But now I tried out the False Lash Wings mascara by L'Oréal i feel like it is as good as The Rocket!

 

Mijn favoriete mascara is al lange tijd Maybelline The Rocket en ik heb het moeilijk om een mascara te vinden die ik net zo goed (of zelfs beter) vind. Maar deze False Lash Wings mascara van L'Oréal is net zo goed!

 

Let me start by saying how much I love the way it makes my lashes look. It gives them a nice lenght and it looks natural at the same time. It doesn't give a lot more volume, but I don't seek for more volume in a mascara, so for me this is not an issue. The mascara has a winged brush, which is easy to use. But I actually love the other side of the brush because it's nice to separate the lashes better and it is perfect for the bottom lashes!

 

Laat ik beginnen met te zeggen dat ik ervan hou hoe deze mascara mijn wimpers er doet uitzien. Hij geeft een mooie lengte zonder dat het er niet meer natuurlijk zou uitzien. Hij geeft niet enorm veel volume, maar dat zoek ik niet echt in een mascara. Deze mascara heeft een winged borsteltje, wat makkelijk te gebruiken is. Maar ik hou eigenlijk van de andere kant van de borstel, omdat deze perfect is om de wimpers uit elkaar te halen en hij is ook perfect voor de onderste wimpers!

Catrice LE 'Hip Trip' Sheer Lip Colour

 

Catrice came out with its newest limited edition 'Hip Trip'. To be honest I wasn't too much excited about this edition, but I did wanted to try out the sheer lip colours. The sheer lip colours are available in three colours: The Salmon Dance, Wheels on Fire and Nude & Rude. I swatched all three in the shop but with The Salmon Dance and Nude & Rude I didn't saw much colour. However Wheels on Fire looked really nice!

 

Catrice heeft zijn nieuwste limited editie 'Hip Trip' uitgebracht. Om eerlijk te zijn, was ik niet zo enthousiast over de producten van deze editie, maar wel wilde ik graag de sheer lip colours uitproberen. De sheer lip colours zijn beschikbaar in drie kleuren: The Salmon Dance, Wheels on Fire en Nude & Rude. Toen ik deze kleurtjes in de winkel swatchte kwam er niet zoveel kleur af van the Salmon Dance en Nude & Rude. Daarom heb ik enkel However Wheel gekocht, wat wel een hele mooie kleur heeft!

 

 

This lip colour has a high pigmented, transparent gel texture which feels nice on the lips. I'm really liking pink lipsticks lately and this one has just such a pretty colour! It's vibrant but at the same time it's not too much. The lip colours also leave a nice gloss on the lips and they feel moisturising!

 

Deze lip colour heeft een goede pigmentatie en een transparante geltextuur wat aangenaam aanvoelt. De laatste tijd heb ik het voor roze lipsticks en deze heeft echt zo'n mooie kleur! Het is een fel kleurtje, zonder dat hij té fel is. De lip colour laat ook een leuke gloss op je lippen achter en hij voelt hydraterend aan!

NOTD: Essie 'Sand Tropez'

 

It's been a while since I have uploaded an NOTD so here it is! This is one of the nailpolishes I got for my birthday and overall Sand Tropez is just an amazing nude color!

 

Het is een tijdje geleden dat ik nog een NOTD hier postte maar hier heb ik weer eentje voor jullie! Dit is één van de nagellakken dat ik kreeg voor mijn verjaardag en Sand Tropez is gewoon een prachtige nude kleur!

 

 

I really love Essie nailpolishes because they are very easy to apply and they dry rather quick as well. Sand Tropez only needs two coats so for a lightcoloured nailpolish it really covers good. I don't wear nude colours that much, but I do think they make your nails look perfect and clean.

 

Ik hou van Essie nagellak omdat ze erg makkelijk aan te brengen zijn en ze drogen ook redelijk snel. Sand Tropez heeft twee laagjes nodig. Voor een lichte kleur dekt hij dus heel goed. Ik lak m'n nagels niet zo vaak in een nude kleurtje, maar nude nagellakken doen je nagels er perfect en mooi uitzien.

Lush 'Honey Bee' Bath Bomb

I love trying out different bath products to see what colour they change in and to discover if they maybe have a 'little surprise' on the inside. Ofcourse I have to show you guys everytime I try out a new bath product!

 

Ik hou ervan om verschillende badproducten uit te proberen om te kijken in welke kleur ze veranderen en ofdat er een 'verassing' inzit. Natuurlijk moet ik jullie elk nieuw badproduct tonen!

 

This time I tried out Lush its Honey Bee bath bomb. It is made out of rhassoul mud, aloe vera and orange oil and makes the bath water look yellow. This one actually is one of my favourites now because it smells soooo amazing! If you get the chance to go to Lush you should definitely try this one out!

 

Deze keer probeerde ik Lush z'n Honey Bee bruisbal. Ze zijn gemaakt van Rhassoelmodder, aloë vera en sinaasappelolie én ze geven het badwater een gele kleur. Deze bruisbal is nu één van m'n favorieten geworden omdat hij gewoon zo lekker ruikt! Als je de kans krijgt om eens een kijkje te nemen in Lush moet je hem zeker eens meenemen!
