Valentine DIY #03: Dino Love

Ik zag een foto van een dinosaurus zoals deze op Pinterest en vond het zo leuk dat ik er zelf één wou maken. En het is echt heel makkelijk!

I saw a picture of a dinosaur like this one on Pinterest and liked it so much that I wanted to make one myself. And it is really easy to do!

💖 Wat heb je nodig: Lijm, Een schaar, Gouden spraypaint, Vilt, Een dinosaurus en plastiek zakken (of iets anders waarmee je de tafel kan bedekken).

💖 What you will need: Glue, A scissor, Gold spraypaint, Felt, A dinosaur and plastic bags (or anything else you can use to cover up the table).

Stap 1: Bedek de tafel waarop je gaat werken goed.

Dit is echt belangrijk (en ook wat logisch vind ik). Ik knipte gewoon een paar zakken door, maar je kan evengoed krantenpapier of een oud tafellaken gebruiken.

Step 1: Cover up the table you will work on.

This is really important (and also a little bit logic I think). I just cut a couple of bags, but you can also use a newspaper or an old table-cloth.

Stap 2: Spraypaint de dinosaurus!

Dit vond ik eigenlijk de leukste stap. Gebruik de gouden spraypaint om een eerste laag te zetten op de dinosaurus. Terwijl je de eerste laag laat drogen, kan je de volgende stap al uitvoeren alvorens een tweede laag erop te zetten.

Step 2: Spraypaint the dinosaur!

I liked this step the most. Use the golden spraypaint to spray a first coat on the dinosaur. While the first coat is drying you can already start the next step. When it is dried it is better to apply a second coat.

Stap 3: Knip hartjes uit de vilt en plak ze aan elkaar.

Knip hartjes uit de vilt, deze hoeven niet dezelfde grootte te zijn. Hierna gebruik je de lijm om ze aan elkaar te lijmen.

Step 3: Cut hearts out of the felt and stick them together.

Cut hearts out of the felt, these ones do not have to be the same size. Use the glue to glue them together.

En hier is het resultaat!

Valentine NOTD #02: Love Scrabble

Deze volgende Valentine NOTD dat ik deed is geïnspireerd door Scrabble. Omdat het altijd rood en roze is voor Valentijn koos ik er ook voor om eens andere kleurtjes te gebruiken. 

This next Valentine NOTD got inspired by Scrabble. Because the colors for Valentine are always red or pink, I choose to use some different colors.

Deze Barry M nailart pennen hielpen mij echt om de letters te schrijven en de kleine hartjes te tekenen. Echt zo makkelijk te gebruiken!

These Barry M nailart pens really helped a lot to write the letters and draw the little hearts. Really easy to use!

Valentine DIY #02: Cupid's Arrows

Iets wat gewoon bij Valentijn hoort is Cupido. Ik vond dit leuke potje in de Action en vond het gewoon perfect om Cupido's pijlen erin te stoppen!

Something that just matches with Valentine is Cupido. I found this cute jar in Action and I thought it would be perfect to put Cupid's arrows inside!

💘 Wat je nodig hebt: Tape, Lijm, Satéstokjes, Vilt (Roze & rode) en witte veren.

💘 What you will need: Tape, Glue, Sticks, Felt (Pink & Red) and white feathers.

Stap 1: Knip hartjes uit de vilt en plak deze aan de satéstok.

Het is het makkelijkste om één hartje te tekenen en uit te knippen. Gebruik hierna dit hartje om alle andere te tekenen op de vilt. Zo hebben ze allemaal dezelfde grootte. 

Wanneer je alle hartjes geknipt hebt, kan je ze met de lijm op elkaar plakken en hiertussen het satéstokje houden.

Step 1: Cut heart from the felt and glue them to the stick.

It is the easiest to draw one heart first and cut this one out. Then use this heart to draw all the other hearts. This way they all are the same size.

When you cut out all the hearts, you can glue them together and hold the stick in between.

Stap 2: Tape de veren aan het andere uiteinde van de satéstokjes.

Je kan er ook voor kiezen om uit de vilt het uiteinde voor de pijl te knippen, maar ik vond het effect van een veer leuker. Gebruik de tape om de veer vast te plakken. 

Step 2: Tape the feather to the other side from the stick.

You can also choose to cute the ends of the arrow out of the felt, but I found the effect of a feather much nicer. Use the tape to stick the feather to the stick.

En dit is het eindresultaat!

Valentine DIY #01: Hearts Garland

Hey allemaal! Ik denk dat dit eigenlijk de eerste keer is dat ik een DIY zoals deze post. Dus hopelijk vinden jullie hem leuk!

Hey guys! I think this is the first time I'm posting a DIY like this one. So hopefully you will enjoy it!

💕 Wat heb je nodig: Een perforator, een spel kaarten (enkel de harten) en touw. 

💕 What will you need: A hole punch, playing cards (just the hearts) and rope.

Stap 1: Eerst ga je gaatjes maken in de kaarten zodat je het touw er kan doortrekken.

Step 1: First you will make holes in the cards so you can pull the rope through.

Stap 2: Trek het touw nu door de gaatjes. Je kan eigenlijk eender welke kleur en soort gebruiken. 

Step 2: Now pull the rope through the holes. You can choose any color or kind of rope you like.

Stap 3: Nu kan je de slinger ophangen waar je hem wilt!

Step 3: Now hang the garland up wherever you prefer it to be!

Valentine NOTD: From my Heart

Valentijn komt dichterbij, dus je kan een aantal Valentijn inspired blogposts verwachten. En ik start met deze NOTD! Heel makkelijk zelf te doen en je kan zelf de kleuren kiezen die je het mooist vind!

With Valentine around the corner, you can expect a couple of Valentine related blogpost appearing soon. And I start of with this NOTD! It is very easy to do yourself and you can choose any color you like!

♥ Wat heb je nodig: 

Nagellak in verschillende kleuren: rood, wit, roze, paars.

Een dotting tool (of iets anders om dots te maken bv. een tandenstoker)

♥ What you will need: 

Nail polish in different colors: red, white, pink, purple.

A dotting tool (or something else where you can make dots with, like a tooth pick)

Om het makkelijker te maken koos ik een donker rode kleur om eerst een hartvorm te maken met m'n dotting tool. Daarna bracht ik met de verschillende andere kleuren dots binnenin het hart aan. 

To make it a little bit easier for myself I choose a dark red color to make a heart shape with my dotting tool first. After that I used the different other colors to apply dots within the heart.
